Halloween Scavenger Hunt Rerelease

Three years ago I released a small game to my friends on social media sites.  This game was called "Halloween 2013," or "Halloween Scavenger Hunt."

This year I decided to update and rerelease the game with some new features.

VR Gimmicks and the Future

A quick video of me rambling about VR's position in gaming, how to make some money with in the short term, what the long term position VR will hold in gaming will be.

And, just to clarify, throwing out there that I'm only talking about gaming in VR.  There's many other avenues down which VR will be a massive success.

Doom Is, In Fact, 3D

So, with the release of the new Doom game, there's been some hubbub of people looking back on the old games.  One thing that caught my attention, was that there are people talking about the technical aspects of how Doom and Wolfenstein 3D makes them not 3D games.  Not really, anyway.

The comments section of the video kind of exploded with people arguing that there's little distinction given for why Doom isn't 3D and that the definition for what actually makes a game 3D isn't really given in a clear way.  Some people have attempted to defend the claims, but, in the end it just doesn't hold up.

Doom is a 3D game, and I can't believe I have to explain why.

But what is the ideal?

The ideal is Rocket Knight Adventures on the Sega Genesis.

Let's start

Minesweeper Proves Presentation is Everything

You know what game I keep coming back to?  A game that is loaded with tension, strategy, risk, reward, and scaling difficulty?

Minesweeper.  And it's a great example of how presentation can be everything to some audiences.

Why isn't Terminator 2 a Terrible Movie?

Terminator 2: Judgement Day is an amazing movie that is a huge part of 90's culture.  It had video games, t-shirts, action figures, a theme park attraction, comic books, and today has a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.  Why?  It's fucking rad as hell, that's why!

So why does it look so absolutely horrible on paper?

An Open Letter to The Fine Bros.

Look guys, you seem to have no idea why people are upset with you judging by this video. I want to help, so I will post this explanation of how much further you're digging yourselves into a hole.
